Why Can’t We Just Eat Like Normal People Anymore?

Can we talk about how eating has become way too complicated? Like, what happened to just enjoying a little bit of everything? Suddenly, every new diet is telling us to pick one food group, obsess over it, and turn it into our entire personality.

Take protein, for example. Yes, it’s good for you. It builds muscle, keeps you full, all that good stuff. But now we’ve got people doing all-meat carnivore diets like they’re trying out for a survival show. Guys, it’s okay to eat a vegetable.

Or juice. A fresh juice? Amazing. It’s refreshing, packed with vitamin and great for your morning. But a juice-only cleanse for a week? Your body’s over here like, “Hey, where’s the fiber? And actual food?!” Let your liver handle detoxing that’s literally its job.

Then there’s bone broth. Love it. It’s comforting, full of collagen, good for your gut. But an all-broth diet? Unless you’re living in medieval times, your body is going to start asking for some real nutrients.

And don’t even get me started on keto. Cutting back on sugar and eating healthy fats? Awesome. But the keto diet was literally designed for kids with epilepsy or people with cancer. It’s not meant for every random person trying to drop a couple of pounds. Plus, bread isn’t the villain here, I promise.

Here’s the deal: your body doesn’t need you to pick a side. Protein, carbs, fats, fiber, vitamins all work together. No one nutrient is the star of the show. And that’s the beauty of it! Balance is what keeps your body running, not some extreme diet trend.

So, can we stop overcomplicating food? Eat some protein. Eat your veggies. Enjoy your bread. Have the dang juice but also eat meals. That’s it. That’s the secret. Balance is boring, but it works.
